Historical context North America was a British colony. And at the time it was constituted for 13 colonies. Between 1756 and 1763 there was a war known The Seven Years’ war, between the majors Europeans powers. One of the mains reasons was the dispute between England and France for the commercial monopoly of Asian and American colonies.
The American stage was called the Franco-American war, attended by England against France. At the end of the war, England had to recover financially, despite having won the war. So it has created numerous bad laws for the American settlers. One of these laws was the Law of the tea. This led to a great revolt known as Boston tea Party.
Boston Tea Party On 16 December 1773 in Boston (Massachusetts), a group of American settlers disguised as Indians (Mohawk), invaded the ships of India Company and threw overboard 45 tons of tea. The men who threw the tea overboard were imitated in many other cities of the 13 colonies.
The reaction The British government responded by closing the Boston Harbor and ordered that all the tea destroyed must be reimburse. And the relationship between the Crown and the colonies became even worse.
George III Consequences In the end, the Boston Tea Party, all the movements that followed and the reaction of the British government served to get supporters from all 13 colonies who fought for the successful struggle for the Independence of the United States of America.
